50% wt Platinum on Ketjenblack EC-300J

This is the classic 50% wt Platinum nanocrystals dispersed on high surface area Ketjenblack EC-300J carbon. This Pt/C catalyst is commonly used cathode catalyst for anion exchange membrane (AEM) water electrolysis. 

The performance of a component in a single cell is impacted by all the conditions and other components. The following polarization curve shows a 1.74V at a current density of 1A/cm2 at a temperature of 50°C (lower than typical 60°C). The test was carried out using an NiFeOx anode, an 80um thick membrane with 1 molar KOH.

The following graph shows great stability of this Pt/C catalyst for over 1000 hrs of test.

50% Pt/C catalyst is most commonly used for hydrogen oxidation reaction (HOR) in Proton Exchange Membrane Fuel Cells (PEMFC), Direct Methanol Fuel Cell (DMFC), Microbial Fuel Cell (MFC), and Phosphoric Acid Fuel Cell (PAFC).
