Hydroion Anion Exchange Ionomer Powder
Hydroion ionomer powder represents the state-of-the-art in hydrocarbon-based materials designed for high-performance anion exchange membrane (AEM) electrolysis and fuel cells. Its stability both in KOH and high potential has been proven in the widely recognized Hydroion membrane, reinforced and non-reinforced. This ionomer is more specifically tailored for the use as a binder to mix with powdery catalyst in cathode electrode for AEM water electrolysis, especially in dry cathode setup where KOH solution doesn't circulate through the cathode side and all H2O required to make hydrogen comes through membrane from anode side via osmotic drag.
Hydroion ionomer powder can also be used in the manufacturing of anion exchange membranes for both fuel cell and water electrolysis. It is recommended that the ionomer powder to be dissolved first prior to the solution casting process.
This ionomer is supplied in its dry, stable powder form, reducing shipping costs and safety risks associated with flammable liquids. It can be readily dissolved to form uniform dispersions with catalyst powders for the fabrication of high-performance membrane electrode assemblies (MEAs).
