The MEA Test hardware is a trusted testing fixture for lab scale testing of various components and conditions, such as anion exchange membrane, anode and cathode catalysts, and anode and cathode electrodes, and for other R&D needs. 

Flow field, by default, is single serpentine. Please let us know if you want different designs (such as parallel, column-pin, interdigitated, etc.) at info@electrohy.com. 

Plates can be titanium or nickel. For typical AEM electrolysis testing applications with temperature of around 60C and KOH concentration of 1 molar, titanium is expected to be working great.  For tests at over 80C and higher concentration KOH, nickel provide significantly better corrosion resistance. 

For AEM electrolysis testing, to achieve the testing temperature, heating the KOH solution provides a reliable temperature control. Cartridge heating can also be used with the endplates. Please note that the cartridge heating element is not included.  Nuts, bolts, gaskets, O-rings, connectors are included.

A few facts to consider:  Nickel is nearly 6x more electrically conductive than titanium, roughly 4.4x more thermally conductive than titanium. Titanium is roughly 1.5 to 2 times harder than nickel.

While focus is on AEM electrolysis, this fixture can also be used for proton exchange membrane (PEM) water electrolysis, CO2 conversion, etc. and ElectroHy recommends the customers to reach us at info@electrohy.com to share their experimental needs so we can provide a suitable test hardware for those needs.

3-4 weeks lead time is to be expected.
