Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM) for PEM electrolysis - N80
This 3-layer Catalyst Coated Membrane (CCM) made with a 80micrometer thick membrane is the current state-of-the-art product, that has been proven in multiple megawatts (MW) proton exchange membrane water electrolysis (PEMWE) projects for its high performance and durability in demanding operating conditions.
The membrane used in this CCM integrates a gas recombination catalyst layer that is composed of Pt based nanoparticles, will recombine the crossing over gas species (H2 and O2 molecules) and generate water molecules as a result of the recombination reaction. By reducing gas crossover, such a recombination layer allows the use of a thinner membrane without compromising the safety of the operation.
